Fresh Produce Quality Control Is All About the Details

Fresh fruit travels thousands of kilometres before reaching European ports. When a container of bananas, limes, or citrus arrives in Bremerhaven, determining its condition requires far more than a simple pass or fail.

SSG Quality Services specialises in quality inspections of fresh produce at port, assessing incoming shipments and producing detailed reports for customers and stakeholders.

Container Freight Revolution GmbH operates container handling and transshipment logistics in Bremerhaven. Its operations include container loading and unloading, storage and yard management, vehicle logistics, visual inspections, photo documentation and damage recording.

In this environment, documentation isn’t simply administrative work every asset movement can require detailed visual evidence.

Complex Inspections.
Multiple Pallets.
Hundreds of Data Points.

A single incoming container can require multiple individual inspections. SSG may select 5 to 7 pallets for assessment, and every pallet is inspected individually. The exact parameters depend on the type of fruit being assessed.

SSG digitised the process from the individual pallet all the way to the complete container. Instead of assembling information afterwards, the data is structured from the moment it is captured.

“Can our Customers access Emory Pro directly?”

“Can our Customers access Emory Pro directly?”

Receiving individual reports by email was useful, but SSG's customers wanted one place to see all their inspected assets and reports. SSG was no longer asking for software just for its own inspectors. They wanted Emory Pro to become part of the digital experience they offered their customers. We took on the challenge.

How we build

How we build

Built with Customers, Not Around Them.

Built with Customers, Not Around Them.

The biggest transformation at SSG is not replacing paper. It is what becomes possible once inspection data is structured.

Measurements become a pallet assessment. Pallet assessments become a container result. The result becomes a report. The report becomes a notification. The notification becomes a customer-facing service.

One workflow. From the warehouse floor to the customer.

When SSG's customers wanted direct platform access, that became a product challenge. We solved it. The capability is now available across the entire Emory Pro platform.

OUR PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLE

“We scale when our customers scale.”
